Grace Shimizu, J. D.

Grace Shimizu, J.D., became a board member in 2004 after many years of assisting the Association of Humanitarian Lawyers. She was born in the United States. Ms. Shimizu's father was a Japanese national residing in Peru who was seized by the United States and incarcerated in a U.S. internment camp during WWII for the purpose of hostage exchange. She is a founding member and director of the Japanese Peruvian Oral History Project.

He originally practiced immigration law, he was promoted to a judge, and now is a supervising judge in the immigration courts in London.
